Since 2014, most modern cars are fitted with TPMS sensors. These clever valves monitor your tyre pressure in real-time and alert you via your dashboard if a tyre is losing air.
At eZE Tyres, we have the specialist diagnostic tools to service, repair, and code these sensors to your vehicle.
Why Does TPMS Matter?
- Safety First: A rapid drop in pressure can lead to a blowout. TPMS gives you the warning you need to pull over safely.
- Save Your Tyres: Driving on an under-inflated tyre even for a few miles can ruin the internal structure, meaning a simple puncture turns into a costly new tyre.
- MOT Requirement: If your TPMS warning light is on, your car will likely fail its MOT.
Our TPMS Services
- Sensor Replacement: If your sensor battery has died or the valve is snapped, we can supply and code a replacement to your car’s computer.
- Service Kits: TPMS valves use delicate rubber seals and nuts that can corrode. We recommend a “service kit” refresh whenever you change your tyres to prevent slow leaks.
- Diagnostic Reset: If your light is on but your pressures are fine, we can scan the sensors to find the fault.
eZE Advice: TPMS sensors usually have a battery life of 5–7 years. If your car is reaching that age, don’t be surprised if the light comes on!
